SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 Roboh Sejak 2024, Pemprov DKI Baru Targetkan Pembangunan Kembali pada 2027 

JAKARTA - The building of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 Pagi, South Jakarta, is still abandoned after part of the roof and the building structure collapsed in November 2024. In the midst of the condition of the building that can no longer be used, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) stated that the reconstruction of the school will only be proposed in the 2027 Fiscal Year.

Monitoring at the location showed that a number of classrooms and one UKS room were still in a state of severe damage. The roof and the building frame collapsed into the room, while the affected area had been evacuated because it was considered dangerous. Since the incident, all students were moved to SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 11 which is located next door.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office Nahdiana said that the safety of students was the main consideration so that the learning process was moved to another school.

"The safety of students is our priority. At the same time, we ensure that all students continue to obtain the right to learn optimally. Even though the teaching and learning activities are temporarily carried out with a two-shift system, the learning process still refers to the applicable curriculum, accompanied by teachers, and the quality of educational services is maintained," said Nahdiana, Wednesday, July 22.

Nahdiana emphasized that the implementation of the two-shift system does not reduce the quality of learning received by students.

"We continue to provide assistance so that the learning process can run effectively. Most importantly, no child will lose his or her right to obtain quality education during the preparation of the school construction process," he continued.

He explained that the process of rebuilding SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 had entered the planning stage since 2025 through the preparation of the Detail Engineering Design (DED). However, the realization of construction is still waiting for budgeting.

"The planning process continues so that the construction can be realized immediately so that students can return to learning in a safe, comfortable building, and meet the standards of educational facilities," he said.

According to Nahdiana, the reconstruction of the school remains a priority for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and will be proposed again in the 2027 Fiscal Year APBD.

For information, part of the roof frame of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 collapsed on November 27, 2024. Based on the technical recommendations of the Department of Construction, Spatial Planning, and Land, the school building was declared to have suffered heavy damage so that it was no longer suitable for teaching and learning activities.

A day after the incident, as many as 270 students were transferred to SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 11. Temporary teaching and learning activities were carried out with a two-shift system so that all students could still receive educational services.

Previously, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung ensured that the problem of SDN Kebayoran Lama Selatan 09 would be handled immediately.

"I have received reports from the relevant ranks. Of course I pay special attention so that it can be handled immediately. I assure that we will immediately resolve it," said Pramono.
