Shocking, Nanik S Deyang Resigns as Head of BGN for Health Reasons
JAKARTA - Nanik S Deyang has submitted his resignation as Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for health reasons, as confirmed by the Special Assistant to the President for Communication and Policy Dirgayuza Setiawan.
"Today, Mrs. Nanik Deyang said goodbye to President Prabowo to undergo heart treatment and resign as Head of the National Nutrition Agency," said Yuza as confirmed from Jakarta on Wednesday.
He said that in about a month and a half leading the BGN, Nanik had dismantled various problems and laid a number of reform foundations.
Some of the steps taken by Nanikantara include evaluating nearly 28,000 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG), classifying 3,000 kitchens based on quality standards, and stopping the expansion of kitchens in saturated areas.
In addition, it also found 414 problematic SPPGs so that hundreds of billions of rupiah returned to the state treasury, formed 11 reform teams, focused MBG on the beneficiaries who needed it most, and brought in professionals from across ministries and agencies.
In a separate statement on his social media, Nanik S Deyang also conveyed the matter of his resignation as the head of BGN to undergo treatment abroad for heart-related diseases and will depart today.
"I conveyed to the President that I had to resign as Head of BGN, for my health, and because the president was concerned and sorry for me, the president agreed, but I was asked to continue to supervise BGN," Nanik said in his post.
Nanik said that there was a potential for President Prabowo Subianto to form a BGN supervisory board and implement MBG, with himself as chairman of the supervisory board.
In his statement, Nanik also said he would continue to fight and support President Prabowo who continues to strive to improve the lives of the Indonesian people.
