Prasetyo Explains the MBG Budget, Preparations for the 81st Independence Day, and the Possibility of a Defense Budget Decrease
Jakarta - The Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi explained regarding the news of a reduction in the budget for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, preparations for the 81st National RI Anniversary and the possibility of a reduction in defense budgets.
This was conveyed by Prasetyo Hadi at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 21. Regarding the budget for the MBG program, Praseto explained that there was a possibility that the budget needs would decrease after management improvements and data validation at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
In addition, Prasetyo also explained regarding the national commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. According to Prasetyo, this is still being discussed with a number of related parties.
Prasetyo also explained the possibility of budget cuts for the National Police and TNI. Regarding this possibility, President Prabowo Subianto conveyed in his speech after leading the simultaneous harvest held in Malang Regency, East Java, on Friday, July 17.
Prasetyo Hadi explained that this could happen in certain situations. However, Prasetyo revealed that Indonesia's economic fundamentals are still quite strong, so there is no need for cuts in the TNI and Polri budgets.
