Cabinet Evaluation Does Not Always Lead to Reshuffle, the Palace Says There Is No Change of Minister

JAKARTA - The palace has confirmed that there are no plans for a cabinet reshuffle or reshuffle after President Prabowo Subianto held the first semester evaluation of the Red and White Cabinet.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that supervision and evaluation of ministries do not automatically end with the change of ministers.

According to Prasetyo, the evaluation was carried out to ensure that each ministry's program ran quickly, correctly, and had good governance.

The government also checks whether the ministry's programs really answer the problems faced by the community.

Prabowo chaired the Plenary Cabinet Meeting on Monday, July 20. The meeting discussed the achievements of government programs during the first semester of 2026 and the work that must be accelerated in the second semester.

Prasetyo said the President assessed the implementation of priority programs and conveyed the government's achievements for about 21 months.

In addition to performance, the Palace also evaluates how ministers communicate to the public.

Prasetyo said that the communication style of each official has a different character so that the way to evaluate it is also not the same as the performance evaluation.

The statement was made when he was asked about criticism of the communication style of one of the ministers who was considered too relaxed.

"If there is a minister whose way of conveying something to the public is considered inappropriate, it will be a note for us to communicate later and we hope it will be improved," he said.
