BPJS Employment and JAMDATUN Strengthen Enforcement of Compliance, Ensure Workers' Rights to Social Security are Fulfilled

JAKARTA - The government continues to strengthen steps to ensure that every Indonesian worker receives his or her right to employment social security protection.

One of the efforts carried out was through the signing of the Extension of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between BPJS Employment and the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration (JAMDATUN) of the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta, Monday, July 20.

The extension of the cooperation is a strategic step in strengthening employer compliance, supporting the resolution of legal problems, and optimizing the recovery of dues receivables to ensure that more workers obtain their rights to employment social security protection.

The President Director of BPJS Employment, Saiful Hidayat, expressed his appreciation to JAMDATUN and all levels of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Indonesia for the synergy that has been established in supporting the implementation of the Employment Social Security Program.

According to him, the mandate carried out by BPJS Employment not only provides protection to Indonesian workers, but also ensures that the participants' trust funds are managed prudently, professionally, and accountable. To carry out this mandate, BPJS Employment needs the support of various parties, especially JAMDATUN as a strategic partner in strengthening the legal and organizational governance aspects.

"We really need support from many parties, especially support from JAMDATUN as a strategic partner in how we carry out this trust, especially strengthening in the aspects of law and organizational governance," said Saiful.

Saiful explained that the synergy between BPJS Employment and JAMDATUN has so far had a tangible impact in increasing employer compliance. Throughout 2025, more than 20 thousand Special Power of Attorney (SKK) non-litigation were submitted to the State Attorney. This effort contributed to increasing compliance of more than 10 thousand business entities as well as the recovery of contributions of IDR 495.15 billion.

In addition, compliance strengthening is also carried out through the Employment Social Security Compliance Forum. As of April 2026, 71 forums have been formed consisting of 16 provincial level forums and 55 district/city level forums. The forum is a coordination forum between the Prosecutor's Office, local governments, BPJS Employment, and stakeholders in identifying problems, strengthening supervision, and encouraging continuous compliance improvement by employers.

"We also hope that the cooperation that has been running through the 71st Forum on Social Security Compliance for Employment can continue to be strengthened so that the benefits are felt more by Indonesian workers," added Saiful.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration (JAMDATUN) of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia, Narendra Jatna, said the extension of cooperation was a manifestation of the commitment of the two institutions to continue to strengthen synergy in supporting the implementation of employment social security.

"Collaboration between the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Indonesia and BPJS Employment must continue to be strengthened as part of efforts to build an equitable, inclusive, and sustainable employment ecosystem," said Narendra.

He also expressed his appreciation to all levels of BPJS Employment for the commitment and synergy that have been established so far and expressed his gratitude for the trust given to the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Indonesia in supporting the implementation of the BPJS Employment task.

Through this extension of the PKS, BPJS Employment and JAMDATUN are committed to strengthening synergy to the regional level, optimizing the enforcement of compliance and the settlement of dues, and strengthening the implementation of the Compliance Forum as part of efforts to accelerate the realization of Universal Coverage of Jamsostek.

"The extension of this cooperation agreement is a step to continue the synergy that has been built, so that what we do together can provide the greatest benefit for Indonesian workers and their families," concluded Saiful.

On a different occasion, the Head of the Grha BPJamsostek Branch, Andry Rubiantara, welcomed the signing of the Extension of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between BPJS Employment and the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration (JAMDATUN) of the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta.

Hopefully, the compliance of companies and workers in the DKI Jakarta area will increase, which in turn will improve services and welfare for all workers.

"We appeal to micro, small and medium entrepreneurs who have not registered to become BPJamsostek participants to register as BPJS Employment participants as soon as possible, so that every entrepreneur is more calm and comfortable in developing their business, this is in line with the campaign that is being encouraged by BPJS Employment, namely Hard Work Free Worry," he said.

Andry Rubiantara emphasized that the BPJS Employment Branch of the Grha BPJamsostek was ready to collaborate with all stakeholders to realize protection and welfare.

"So that every worker is free from anxiety in working because all the risks of their work have been borne by BPJS Employment," concluded Andry.
