Avoid the Palm Oil Truck Strike, Pertamina Tank Truck Exit Lane on the Bulungan-Berau Axis,

TANJUNG SELOR - A Pertamina fuel tanker truck was involved in a single traffic accident (laka lantas) at Kilometer 28 of the Poros Bulungan-Berau Road on Monday (20/7).

The head of the Bulungan Police, Kombes Rofikoh Yunianto, through the Head of the Traffic Police of the Bulungan Police, AKP Yonathan Kurniawan, said that the incident occurred after the driver of the Pertamina truck tried to avoid a truck loaded with palm oil that stopped on the road due to a flat tire.

"The Pertamina fuel tank truck was traveling from Berau to Tanjung Selor at Kilometer 28 of the Bulungan-Berau Axis Road," said AKP Yonathan, Tuesday, June 21.

"The driver found a truck loaded with palm oil that had a tire leak and was parked on the road. To avoid collision, the driver of the Pertamina fuel tank truck swerved so that the vehicle went off the track," he continued.

After receiving the report, the personnel of the Bulungan Police Satlantas headed to the location to secure the traffic flow and evacuate the vehicles involved.

"This morning at around 07.30 WITA, the evacuation process for the Pertamina fuel tank truck and the palm oil truck was completed. During the process, traffic flow on the Poros Bulungan-Berau road can still be passed with arrangements by officers," he said.

AKP Yonathan ensured that there were no casualties in the incident, the driver of the Pertamina fuel tank truck was reported to be safe and only suffered minor injuries.

"The driver is in good condition, only suffering minor injuries," he explained.

The police appealed to drivers, especially goods transport vehicles, to immediately install signs or warning signs if they experience damage and must stop on the road, especially at night.

"The warning is very important to know for other road users and to minimize the risk of traffic accidents," he said.

Meanwhile, Pertamina Patra Niaga Tarakan Public Relations, Rendy, confirmed the incident involving the Pertamina fuel tanker truck.

"This incident is true. Currently we are still in the investigation stage," said Rendy when confirmed.

Pertamina Patra Niaga will provide further information after the investigation process is completed. Including the amount of fuel transported and the distribution of fuel to Bulungan, Kaltara.
