Oil Spills, 7 Motorists Fall While Crossing Pluit Raya Road, 2 Elderly Victims Treated

JAKARTA - A total of 7 motorcyclists were injured after slipping while crossing Jalan Pluit Raya, specifically in front of Mega Padel, Penjaringan Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta, Tuesday, July 21, 2026, morning.

They slipped because the road was covered with oil spill. The motorists who passed by one by one fell and slipped.

Seeing the incident, residents immediately evacuated the victims to the nearest hospital. Residents also reported the incident to the Penjaringan Police and the local village.

Meanwhile, two elderly people named Kuswoyo and Nafsiah, residents of Warakas, Tanjung Priok were evacuated to Atmajaya Hospital because they had suffered quite severe injuries.

Until now, the two are still undergoing intensive care at Atmajaya Hospital. The victim's family hopes that the relevant parties can be held accountable.

"We ask the relevant officers to immediately clean up the location so that it does not take more victims," said YA (47), one of the victim's family members.

YA also appealed to other motorists who passed by the location to be careful because of the oil spill.
