Pertamina Cilacap Refinery Tank Burns, Vice Regent Comes To Location

JAKARTA - Deputy Regent of Cilacap, Central Java, Syamsul Aulia Rachman visited the Pertamina Cilacap oil refinery area. One tank of the Cilacap refinery caught fire.

"We are monitoring that in approximately 45 minutes the fire has been extinguished," said Deputy Regent of Cilacap Syamsul, quoted from Kompas TV broadcast, Friday, June 11.

When receiving information about the fire in the Cilacap oil refinery tank, the Vice Regent alerted the firefighters. However, according to Syamsul, the fire could be controlled by Pertamina's internal firefighters.

"But we are ready if needed, the Cilacap Firefighters are ready to be used," he continued.

Residents who live near the Cilacap oil refinery were shocked by the fire. But residents are advised to return home because the fire has been controlled.
