Pregnant with a Boy, Athina Rio Haryanto's Wife Admits to Being Lazy to Dress

JAKARTA - Happiness is enveloping the couple Rio Haryanto and Athina Papadimitriou. Athina, who is now pregnant with their first child, began sharing stories about her pregnancy with the public.

In a short video upload, Athina showed her physical changes, especially her stomach which is now seen to be getting bigger. In a joking tone, she said her stomach was now starting to look very round or in Javanese terms called mblendhung.

"Yes, my stomach is round, yes it turns out. It wasn't this round. So it's like... mblendhung," said Athina, quoted by VOI from @monikaarum_makeup's Instagram, Tuesday, July 21.

Not only about physical changes, Athina also gave a clue about the gender of her first child. When asked by someone behind the camera about the prediction of the baby's gender, Athina confidently answered that she was pregnant with a boy.

"Guess it's a girl, Mom? Boy," he replied briefly with a beaming face.

Interestingly, in the conversation, an old myth was triggered which states that pregnant women who are pregnant with a boy tend to be lazy to make up or dress up.

"He said that if his son is a boy, he doesn't like to dress up. How about you, Kak?" a woman in the video asked.

Hearing the question, Athina did not deny it. He actually confirmed that he felt the same thing during this pregnancy.

"Yes, it's true (I'm lazy to do makeup)," he admitted while laughing a little.

For information, Rio and Athina's couple just held a mithoni event alias 7 months for their first child in Solo, Central Java. Rio and Athina themselves officially married on December 5, 2024.
