TASPEN Strengthen the Implementation of ESG through the Green Miles Program, Encourage a Low-Emission Mobility Culture in the Work Environment

JAKARTA - PT TASPEN (Persero) launched the Green Miles Program, an environmentally friendly initiative that invites all employees to implement commuting habits as part of carbon emission reduction efforts. This program was launched in conjunction with the Global Energy Independence Day on July 10, 2026 as a form of the company's commitment to strengthen the implementation of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and build a sustainable work culture.

Through this program, TASPEN supports the selection of more sustainable modes of transportation, such as walking, cycling, using public transportation, and vehicle sharing. TASPEN Corporate Secretary, Henra, said that sustainability is part of TASPEN's transformation as a Center of Excellence in the implementation of ESG in the corporate environment.

"The Green Miles Program is a tangible step for the company to encourage the active involvement of TASPEN employees in supporting carbon emission reduction and building a work culture that is more environmentally friendly. TASPEN believes that simple habits that are consistently carried out like this can contribute to a better earth," he said, in a written statement, Tuesday, July 21.

The implementation of the Green Miles Program will take place from July 10 to October 9, 2026. During this period, employees can document environmentally friendly travel activities and upload them through the platform provided. The Green Miles Program is one of the initiatives that support TASPEN's sustainability strategy.

In addition to the Green Miles Program, TASPEN has also carried out various other sustainability initiatives, including:

1. Implementation of a 20 kilowatt-peak (kWp) solar panel

2. Implementation of Energy Management System (EMS) based on cloud at Jakarta I Branch Office

3. Development of Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL)

4. Increasing the target for the use of electric-based operational vehicles

5. Planting tens of thousands of trees in various regions of Indonesia, including on the 63rd anniversary, TASPEN managed to collect thousands of tree seedlings as a substitute for flower arrangements.

This program is part of TASPEN's efforts to strengthen the culture of sustainability as well as reaffirm its role as a Center of Excellence in the implementation of ESG in the corporate environment.

Through various innovations that are oriented towards sustainability, TASPEN supports a transformation that is in line with President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita in encouraging sustainable development, energy resilience, and environmental preservation.
