Balsa Sekulic Can't Wait to Debut with Persib Bandung

JAKARTA - New striker Balsa Sekulic said he can't wait to make his debut with BRI Super League club Persib Bandung after being brought in on the transfer market ahead of the 2026/2027 season.

Quoted from the club's official website, Tuesday, Sekulic explained that his arrival at Persib Bandung was because he knew the great reputation that the Blue Prince team had.

The Montenegrin player added that playing in the Asian competition was one of the strong reasons for him to accept the offer from Persib Bandung.

Sekulic also explained that he was impatient to play in front of Persib Bandung supporters who are famous for being massive and providing extraordinary support.

"Oh yes, of course. I know about it (Persib playing in the Asian competition). I can't wait to be able to play soon, get my first minutes of play, and perform live in front of these incredible fans (Bobotoh)," said Sekulic.

The 28-year-old player has been in Bandung for a week and has felt the adaptation process going smoothly thanks to the warm welcome from all elements of the team.

Sekulic assessed that the new environment he encountered since arriving in Bandung made him quickly feel like he was at home and he started from the atmosphere of the city, food, to relationships with teammates and coaching staff gave him a positive impression.

He explained that the rapid adaptation was an important capital for him to immediately blend into the Persi Bandung game and in every training session, Sekulic continued to try to understand the team's character as well as build chemistry with the other players.

"It's amazing. I feel very good here. I like the weather, the food, and my teammates and the coaching staff are very kind to me. Everything went well," he said as quoted by Antara.
