S&P Soroti Transparency of Exports, Government Claims DHE and PT DSI Start to Bear Fruit

JAKARTA - The government stated that the policy of placing foreign exchange from export results (DHE) as well as the establishment of PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (PT DSI) received appreciation from the international rating agency Standard & Poor's (S&P).

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said the policy was considered to increase transparency in the management of natural wealth while suppressing the practice of manipulating export transactions.

"This optimizes revenue from natural wealth to prevent fraudulent practices, both transfer pricing and under invoicing," said Airlangga at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday (20/7).

According to Airlangga, S&P gave an appreciation because the policy opened transparency in the management of state revenues from the natural resources sector.

Airlangga said the implementation of DHE and the operations of PT DSI were part of the government's strategy to strengthen export governance while increasing state revenues.
