Isabella Gonzales, 19-year-old US Soldier, Killed in Iran Attack on Jordan

JAKARTA - The Pentagon released information that a 19-year-old female Army soldier, Isabella Gonzales from Carrollton, died in action on Friday last week during an Iranian attack on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.

Another Army soldier, First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan (25) from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, died in action on Saturday, July 18 last week.

The Pentagon said the soldiers were supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, the US mission against Iran.

Gonzales was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 52nd Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command, based in Ansbach, Germany.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth mourned the deaths of two US military members in Jordan by writing a message "Goodbye, heroes."

"Their sacrifice only strengthens our determination," Hegseth said on the X platform.

Following the Iranian attack, US forces launched a new series of airstrikes against Iran at the behest of President Donald Trump.
