Alleged Bullying Perpetrator at PIS Kelapa Gading Officially Transfers School

JAKARTA - A student with the initials EJH, who was previously the center of attention for the alleged bullying case at the Penabur Intercultural School (PIS) Kelapa Gading, officially transferred schools.

This step was taken after he was officially returned to his parents Albert Hutagalung and Ribkha Pakpahan for the second time in December 2025.

After having made several objections to the school's decision, EJH was forced to study alone in his class shortly afterwards as a result of the parents' request to the school who did not want their children to be in the same class as EJH.

The arrest of the alleged perpetrator of bullying from the prestigious school became a bright spot and new hope for the school community and parents of students who had protested, as well as bringing a fresh wind to create a safer and more conducive learning environment in this new school year.

In fact, from the information that was collected, a student who was previously a victim of EJH who had moved to another school, now plans to return to / move to PIS after knowing that EJH has officially moved schools.

The departure of EJH from the international school was confirmed by the Head of School Mahadewi A. Puspitaningtyas at the Student Parents Meeting on Saturday, July 18, 2026, who said that EJH had officially left PIS through the mutation process.

Previously, this controversy sparked widespread public attention after the school trustees carried out peaceful protests by sending dozens of bouquets to the school and peaceful demonstrations from child activists in front of the Ministry of Education and Culture's office, Senayan, Jakarta.

They urged the school and the government to take firm action against the alleged physical and psychological bullying experienced by dozens of victims. Moreover, the alleged perpetrator of the bullying EJH was then even escorted by a uniformed soldier to enter the school environment.

Now, with the transfer of EJH to a new educational environment, the school community welcomes this decision as an effort to restore the focus on teaching and learning as well as to restore the mental condition of all affected students.

This move also ended the tension that had enveloped the prestigious international school environment in North Jakarta.
