Education for SPKT Cadets of 2026 Begins, Wakapolda Kaltara Emphasizes Professionalism

MALINAU - The Education for the Formation of Police Officers with the Ability of the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) for the 2026 Fiscal Year officially began at the State Police School (SPN) of the North Kalimantan Police (Kaltara) in Malinau Regency.

A total of 66 prospective students will undergo education to be prepared as Polri personnel who serve in the field of police services.

The opening of education was led by the North Kalimantan Police Chief Brigjen Yusuf who emphasized that the process of forming the SPKT officer must be able to produce professional personnel, have integrity, and have competence in serving the community.

"Education is not merely a stage to change the status of civilians into members of the National Police, but a process of character, mental, knowledge and skills formation that will be a resource in carrying out police duties," said the Deputy Police Chief.

"Each student must be really proficient and skilled in carrying out his duties as a general police duty officer, especially at the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) in each regional unit," he continued.

The Regional Police Chief explained that this year's education carried the theme of Building the Priority of Police Education Based on Morality and Literacy to Support the Program of Food Sovereignty, Energy, and Productive and Inclusive Economy.

"This theme is in line with the direction of human resource development contained in the Government Work Plan (RKP) for 2026," he said.

The Regional Police also asked the students to immediately adapt to the discipline of life in the SPN environment, maintain physical and mental conditions, and abandon habits that do not reflect police values.

In addition, he reminded the importance of maintaining motivation during education and utilizing all learning processes to increase competence as prospective members of the National Police.

"Strengthen your determination and enthusiasm for learning. Make every stage of education as a preparation to provide the best service to the community when you are on duty later," said Yusuf.

He emphasized that educators, instructors and caregivers should carry out the formation process professionally and set an example for students.

"Build a culture of healthy, competitive, solid, and mutually reinforcing learning. Recognize the conditions of each student, make appropriate interventions, and make sure that no one is left behind in this formation process," he concluded.

It is known that a total of 66 prospective students of the SPKT will then undergo the entire series of education at the SPN Polda Kaltara before being inaugurated and placed as Polri personnel according to organizational needs.
