KPK Finds Money During OTT West Lombok Regent 

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed the findings of money in a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in the West Nusa Tenggara region, West Lombok today. These items were found along with a number of documents allegedly related to the alleged bribery of project work.

"The team also secured evidence in the form of cash in rupiah denominations and also several documents suspected to be related to this case," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, July 20.

"This case is suspected to be related to the receipt made by the regent related to projects in the West Lombok Regency," he continued.

Budi said that in this silent operation, 19 people were secured and seven of them were taken to the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta including West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini. They are planned to arrive tonight.

"Of course, later those who are brought to Jakarta are indeed in accordance with the needs to be examined further," said Budi.

Then Ahmad Zaini was said to have been secured at his official residence. However, Budi was not willing to give details of the chronology of the arrest.

This process will usually be conveyed through a press conference after the title of the case or exposure at the leadership level is carried out.

"What is certain is that the regent was secured in the morning at the residence of the person concerned," he said.
