The Palace Says the World Cup Broadcast on TVRI Follows the Movement of the Regional Economy

JAKARTA - The palace considers the broadcast of the World Cup through TVRI not only provides entertainment for the public, but also helps to drive economic activities in various regions.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that the match broadcast for one month was enjoyed by the general public, including those who are not football fans.

"Alhamdulillah, one month we get very quality entertainment from football. Last night was the peak of the final," said Prasetyo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday (20/7).

He appreciated TVRI for broadcasting the entire tournament series. According to Prasetyo, the broadcast has social benefits as well as opening economic activities in various regions.

"We express our gratitude to TVRI for broadcasting the World Cup for a full month in a very good way and providing extraordinary benefits to the community," he said.

Prasetyo said the impact was not limited to the audience of the match. Watching activities together and other activities that emerged during the tournament were considered to have moved the economic wheel more evenly.

"Not only to football fans, but also to move the wheels of the economy evenly throughout the regions," he said.

However, Prasetyo did not specify the amount of economic turnover or sectors that had an impact from the broadcast.

He also touched on the results of the final match in a light tone. According to Prasetyo, losing in a match is normal and the team that fails to win the championship still has a chance in the next tournament.

"If someone's team hasn't won, it's normal in a game. Congratulations to the Spanish supporters. Argentine supporters should not be sad, four years later they can get into the final again," said Prasetyo.
