OSCT Indonesia Strengthens Partnership with BOPPJ, Introduces New President Director

JAKARTA - PT OSCT Indonesia strengthens cooperation with the North Java Coast Management Authority (BOPPJ) in an effort to increase national readiness to face marine pollution and oil spill management in Indonesian waters.

This commitment was marked by a visit by the BOPPJ to the PT OSCT Indonesia Headquarters on Friday, July 17. The meeting was also an opportunity to introduce the new President Director of PT OSCT Indonesia, Major General TNI (Ret.) Kukuh Surya Sigit Sentosa.

PT OSCT Indonesia (Oil Spill Combat Team Indonesia) is a national private company engaged in the field of oil spill response and is one of the largest oil spill response service providers in Indonesia.

President Director of PT OSCT Indonesia, Major General TNI (Ret.) Kukuh Surya Sigit Sentosa, said that synergy with BOPPJ is expected to further strengthen coordination in coastal area management and increase capacity for combating marine pollution.

"This visit is a good step to strengthen communication and collaboration between PT OSCT Indonesia and BOPPJ. We are committed to continue to support efforts to improve national readiness in combating marine pollution through the experience, capabilities, and services we have," said Kukuh in his statement, Monday, July 20.

On this occasion, PT OSCT Indonesia also handed over souvenirs to the Deputy Head II of the BOPPJ, Suhajar Diantoro, as a form of appreciation for the visit and strengthening of institutional relations.

The activity was also attended by a number of TNI retirees, namely Laksda TNI (Purn) Bambang Naryono, Laksda TNI (Purn) Edy Sulistyadi, Laksda TNI (Purn) Agus Adriyanto, Major General TNI (Purn) Susilo Adi Purwantoro, and Laksma TNI (Purn) Taufik Arief.

After the meeting, the BOPPJ delegation reviewed the operational facilities of PT OSCT Indonesia. During the visit, the company explained its various operational capabilities, including the provision of Oil Spill Response Equipment (OSRE), oil spill response equipment, and coordination systems used in responding to potential pollution in Indonesian waters.

PT OSCT Indonesia emphasized that it would continue to strengthen collaboration with the government, related institutions, and stakeholders to increase national readiness in dealing with marine pollution while supporting efforts to preserve Indonesia's marine environment.
