Once in Doubt, Director Ferly Halim's Debut Through Won't Let You Cry Flood of Praise

JAKARTA - The Indonesian film industry is back with a new promising talent. Young filmmaker Ferly Halim has just answered public doubts through his debut work titled Takkan Kubiarkan Kau Menangis.

The film under the auspices of Langit Pictures Indonesia successfully held a Gala Premiere night not long ago.

Appearing as a new director, Ferly Halim's initial steps were accompanied by a tone of skepticism. Many people doubted this woman's ability to pack a deep family drama. However, the atmosphere at the moment of watching together seemed to have demolished all those doubts.

The applause and tearful cries from the audience were proof that Ferly managed to present mature cinematic quality. The choice of the family drama genre, which is full of emotions in the midst of the dominance of mainstream films, is a breath of fresh air and a challenge that he managed to conquer.

This Gala Premiere night is not just a regular film screening, but has evolved into one of the most prestigious events this year. The concept of a luxurious red carpet is more vibrant with the presence of a row of important figures in the country and VVIP officials who provide direct support.

The Minister of Indonesian MSMEs, Maman Abdurrahman, was present, accompanied by Mrs. Tina Astari Maman. In addition, representatives from the Ministry of Creative Economy (Ekraf) were also present, represented by the Deputy for Creative Media, Cecep Rukendi, as well as representatives from the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Support also came from the social and religious sectors with the presence of the Head of BAZNAS, Dr. Ir. H. Sodik Mudjahid, as well as the DWP advisory board from various ministries such as the Ministry of Cooperatives and the Ministry of Trade.

From the ranks of celebrities, Kiesha Alvaro was seen as the filler for the Original Soundtrack, along with a row of other artists such as Penta Boys, Naufal Utomo, to Dianna Dee Starlight who also crowded the red carpet area.

The humanistic side was also highlighted in this event. BAZNAS initiated a special moment by bringing hundreds of orphans to watch together. This step is taken not only as recreation, but also a spiritual education mission for the children.

The film's storyline, which centers on the struggle for life, tenacity, and the power of love in the family, is expected to ignite the spirit and hope for orphans in facing the future.

Ferly Halim, the director, could not hold back his gratitude. For him, this film is a medium of reflection on the meaning of sincerity and how to survive in the midst of economic and communication tests in the family.

"Hopefully this film will be an inspiration and can build a more harmonious family relationship in terms of daily communication in the house," said Ferly.

For you lovers of touching family dramas, I Won't Let You Cry is ready to greet audiences simultaneously in all Indonesian cinemas starting July 16.
