In addition to Trophies and Medals, the 2026 World Cup Champions Can Get Limited Edition Rings from FIFA

JAKARTA - The 2026 World Cup champion will not only take home the trophy and gold medal. FIFA is also preparing a championship ring, an award commonly given to the winning team in the United States professional sport.

Xinhua quoted Friday, July 17, saying the ring would be handed over after the final match at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday. Spain and Argentina will compete for the world champion title.

A total of 2,026 rings were prepared in a limited edition collection to commemorate the 2026 World Cup. Each ring has its own number.

A total of 30 rings will be given to the members of the champion team. Meanwhile, another 1,996 rings will be released worldwide as officially licensed collectibles.

One side of the ring features the FIFA World Cup trophy. The other side will be customized to the identity of the team that becomes the champion.

The ring-passing tradition brings a North American twist to the World Cup award presentation. In the United States, teams that win professional leagues have long received commemorative rings in addition to trophies.
