KPK Indicates the Call for Menhut Raja Juli Related to the Envelope from the Regent of Kuansing is Just Waiting for the Time

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) hinted that it would summon the Minister of Forestry (Menhut) Raja Juli Antoni regarding the alleged giving of envelopes by the non-active Regent of Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Suhardiman Andy.

This was conveyed by KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo who initially verified the report of the rejection of the envelope submitted by the Secretary General of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) had been completed. The process is based on Article 14 of the Corruption Eradication Commission (Perkom) Regulation Number 1 of 2026.

"Yes, for the results we can't say that, yes. However, what is certain in the process of verification of analysis and also coordination with the KPK internal team, one of the rules used is Article 14 of Perkom 1 Year 2026," Budi told reporters quoted on Friday, July 17.

Article 14 of the Perkom reads:

"The Gratification Report is not followed up as referred to in Article 12 paragraph (2) letter b in terms of:

a. Gratification objects in the form of perishable goods, which cannot be sold, and/or cannot be used;

b. gratification receipts are reported as not true and/or not in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations;

c. it is known that an investigation, investigation, or prosecution of a criminal offense is being carried out by law enforcement officials; and/or

d. suspected of being related to a criminal act. "

Meanwhile, regarding the summoning of King Juli in the Suhardiman Ambi case, Budi did not give a specific time. He only said that of course a request for information was needed for those who were suspected of knowing or related to the illegal practice being handled.

"Regarding the development of the investigation, namely the alleged bribery of positions and other receipts in Kuansing Regency, we will continue to update. Because the investigation is still progressing," said Budi.

As previously reported, the KPK named three people as suspects in the alleged bribery of the filling of the Kuansing Regent's post after conducting a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) on Monday, June 29. They are Kuansing Regent Suhardiman Amby, Kuansing Regent Zulkarnain, and Ardiles as President Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant.

In the construction of the case, Suhardiman allegedly asked for one unit of Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR-S worth around Rp2.05 billion to the participants of the selection for the position of the Regional Secretary.

The request was fulfilled by Zulkarnain who bought the vehicle through a credit scheme using Ardiles' identity for financing applications.

The KPK also found other alleged receipts made by Suhardiman related to the process of releasing Limited Production Forest (HPT) areas. Investigators are said to be tracing the amount of receipts, the mechanism of giving to the party suspected of receiving at the Ministry of Forestry.

Meanwhile, Raja Juli through a press conference after the silent operation was held, admitted that the Regent of Kuansing Suhardiman Amby had left a sealed envelope after an audience at the Ministry of Forestry on June 2, 2026.

He then ordered his aide to return the envelope on June 5, 2026. However, the plan was delayed because his aide had to accompany him in the agenda of the service.

Furthermore, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Forestry then issued a letter of assignment to his aide on June 11, 2026.

Raja Juli then admitted that he contacted the Riau Police Chief to help bring his aide together with the Regent of Kuansing. The return of the envelope, he claimed, was made on June 12, 2026 at the Kuantan Singingi Police and was documented and had a receipt.
