Hotman Paris Officially Becomes Lawyer for Former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah

JAKARTA - Lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea said he had been officially appointed as a lawyer for the suspect in the alleged corruption case, former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah (FA).

"It's official (received, ed) the power of attorney this morning," said Hotman, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 17.

He also confirmed that he accompanied Febrie to undergo an examination as a suspect this morning.

Based on ANTARA's monitoring, Hotman arrived at the Jampidsus Kejagung building, Jakarta, at around 09.30 WIB, accompanied by his colleague, Indra Haposan Sihombing.

Previously, on Saturday (11/7), the National Police announced the handling of three cases, namely the alleged corruption of coal governance, the alleged corruption of PT Asabri and PT Jiwasraya for the period 2020-2025, and the alleged money laundering in the settlement of PT CBS's debt to PT KNI, transferred to the Attorney General's Office.

The transfer was carried out based on an agreement between the National Police and the Attorney General's Office as a form of synergy in law enforcement.

Meanwhile, the police have named FA and DR (Don Ritto) as suspects in the alleged corruption and money laundering cases.

With the transfer of handling the case, the Attorney General's Office also issued a preliminary investigation order (sprindik) for the three cases.

The Attorney General's Office also formed a special team consisting of nine prosecutors to handle this corruption case.
