Supporters Of Rizieq Shihab Geruduk DPRD Bogor City, Wants Dialogue With Bima Arya

BOGOR - Hundreds of sympathizers from the leadership of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS) visited the Bogor City DPRD building, on Jalan Pemuda, Bogor City, West Java. They came to have a dialogue with the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya Sugiarto.

The mass of sympathizers seemed to be carrying attributes in the form of banners and posters containing the written aspirations that were conveyed, thus making the traffic flow on Jalan Pemuda in front of the DPRD building to a standstill.

Quoted from Antara, Friday, June 11, joint officers from the police and TNI were seen on guard at the entrance and at the gate of the DPRD building. There is also a police officer on duty on the highway, appearing to temporarily divert the flow of traffic in front of the DPRD building.

Previously, the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya, stated that he and the Forkopimda of Bogor City were ready to have a dialogue with representatives of HRS sympathizers in a limited number, namely a maximum of 10 people, to maintain health protocols.

According to Bima, during the demonstration of HRS sympathizers calling themselves the Forum for Justice Concerned Society (FMPK) at Bogor City Hall, Wednesday, June 9, Habib Mahdi contacted him by cell phone for a dialogue. The conversation on his cell phone was agreed by Bima Arya to have a dialogue on Friday today at around 13.00 WIB.

"The Head of the Bogor City Police and the Bogor City Forkopimda last night coordinated with Habib Mahdi Assegaf, regarding the preparation of a dialogue with representatives of the masses, a maximum of 10 people, at the Bogor City DPRD Building, to avoid traffic jams in the middle of the city," he said.

Bima Arya said he did not know what the HRS supporters would say. As the Head of the Bogor City COVID-19 Handling Task Force together with forkopimda, they will only listen to the aspirations that are conveyed.

"We will listen and accommodate. We don't know what will be conveyed yet," he said.
