PLN Gives 50 Percent Discount on Electricity Supply Costs for Customers

JAKARTA - To celebrate National Children's Day and the new school year, PT PLN (Persero) has again presented a 50 percent discount program for electricity. This promo, which runs from July 14 to July 27, 2026, is presented to support the community's electricity needs while encouraging children's learning spirit as the new school year begins.

PLN's Retail and Commercial Director, M. Fahrur Rozy, said that this program is intended for low-voltage customers of all tariff groups with initial power ranging from 450 volts ampere (VA) to 5,500 VA who want to add a maximum power of up to 7,700 VA. Through this program, PLN provides an opportunity for customers who want to optimize the use of electricity through adding power at an affordable cost.

"Through the 'New Spirit is Getting Stronger' program, PLN wants to provide convenience for the public to obtain additional power services at a lighter cost, to support children's learning activities and various productive activities at home," said Rozy in a statement to the media, Friday, July 17.

As an illustration, customers with an initial power of 1,300 VA who want to increase power to 7,700 VA only need to pay Rp3,100,800. This value is 50 percent more economical than the normal power add cost of Rp6,201,600.

Rozy explained that to enjoy this promo, customers only need to make a minimum of one token purchase transaction for prepaid customers or electricity bill payment for postpaid customers through the PLN Mobile application during the promo period. After the transaction is successful, the e-voucher for additional power will be received through the "Reward" feature on PLN Mobile or sent to the registered email address.

The e-voucher code can then be used when applying for additional power through the PLN Mobile application. After the payment is verified, the local PLN unit will immediately process the application in accordance with the applicable provisions.

"The entire process of applying for this power addition discount is done digitally through PLN Mobile, so it is more practical, fast, and easy for people to access anywhere," said Rozy.

Rozy added, in this power addition discount program, each PLN Mobile account can get a maximum of four e-vouchers during the promo period where one Customer ID can participate in the promo once. The "New Spirit is Getting More Power" program, continued Rozy, applies to customers who have been registered before July 1, 2026 and have paid all electricity bills and other obligations. He also invited all customers to be able to optimize this short 50 percent power addition discount program.

"We invite all customers to make the most of this promo. So that people can enjoy a more comfortable electricity usage experience with enough electricity to support learning activities and various family activities at home," concluded Rozy.
