Starting from Limitations, Biru Tsabita Develops Women's Bags and Wallets Business with BRI Empowerment

PEMALANG - Departing from the need to increase family income, Biru Tsabita was born, a women's bag and wallet business from Pemalang, Central Java, which continues to grow to this day. Relying on beautiful and functional designs, this business is slowly expanding its market reach to various regions in Indonesia.

Mutoharoh as the owner of Biru Tsabita said that this business started from an effort to find additional income in the midst of family economic constraints.

"At that time we were stuck in a huge debt, so that the income that existed was not enough to meet the needs of life. From there, we tried to find a side job, and our choice fell on online sales that could be run in between work routines. Thank God, the online sales business continues to grow until now," he said.

Since its inception in 2019, Biru Tsabita has presented a variety of women's bags and wallets for an ever-growing market. Among the various products produced, women's wallets are one of the most sought after by customers. Marketing is carried out through marketplaces and partnerships, with coverage to various regions in Indonesia, even reaching Malaysia.

In addition to providing ready-to-sell products, Biru Tsabita also serves to make custom bags and wallets according to customer needs. In its journey, the development of Biru Tsabita was also strengthened through the training of the BRI BUMN House.

For Mutoharoh, the mentoring has helped increase knowledge while opening up a network of relationships that support business growth. Along with this development, Biru Tsabita has now involved 33 employees.

"All the training provided by the BRI BUMN House has helped us, especially the BRI 2025 BRIncubator Program which so far has the most benefits for business development," he said.

To support operations and sales, Mutoharoh also utilizes BRImo and QRIS BRI. In the future, he targets business network expansion through marketplace strengthening and partnerships so that the market reach of Biru Tsabita is wider.

BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny revealed that the Blue Tsabita journey showed that businesses that start from limitations can grow when they are run with sincerity and continue to be open to the learning process.

"Blue Tsabita shows that from limitations can be born businesses that continue to grow and provide livelihoods. Through BUMN House, BRI wants to accompany more UMKM players so that they have space to learn, expand the market, and take a step further with a stronger business," said Dhanny. (ADV)
