One TNI Soldier Dies Due to Madiun Ammunition Warehouse Explosion

JAKARTA - The Head of the TNI AD Information Service (Kadispenad) Brigadier General TNI Donny Pramono said that as many as one soldier was killed as a result of the explosion of an ammunition warehouse at the TNI Central Ammunition Warehouse (Gupusmu) located in Saradan District, Madiun Regency, East Java.

"One person was declared dead, then four people were seriously injured, and two others were lightly injured," said Donny as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 16.

Donny also represented the ranks of the AD Headquarters in expressing condolences for the death of the soldiers in this incident.

Donny said the ammunition warehouse exploded while soldiers were carrying out maintenance and inspection of ammunition.

However, Donny could not explain in more detail the main cause of the explosion of the ammunition warehouse.

His party is now handing over the investigation to an investigative team sent to Madiun to find out the main cause of the explosion of the ammunition warehouse.

"We also invite all parties to jointly provide space for the investigation team to work optimally and avoid speculation about the cause of the incident before the entire examination process is completed," explained Donn.
