After 28 Years, Finally the Masela Permanent Gas Project is Officially Built, President Prabowo: Alhamdulillah
Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto officially started the construction (groundbreaking) of the National Strategic Project Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Abadi Masela in the Tanimbar Islands Regency, Maluku Province, Thursday, July 16.
The inauguration marked the start of a national energy project that has been awaited for almost 28 years. President Prabowo was present online at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta because there were still activities that could not be left behind.
President Prabowo emphasized that the Abadi Masela LNG Project is a very important project for the future of the nation. The project has been awaited for almost three decades and has finally entered the construction phase.
According to President Prabowo, Indonesia is endowed with enormous energy reserves, including in the Tanimbar and Maluku Islands. Therefore, this potential must be utilized as much as possible for the benefit of the people.
On that occasion, President Prabowo also expressed his appreciation to all parties who had contributed to realizing this project, including international partners such as INPEX from Japan, Petronas from Malaysia, and Pertamina as a national company.
According to President Prabowo, the Abadi Masela LNG Project will be an important foundation for Indonesia's economic transformation towards a modern industrial country. The project will provide the energy needed to accelerate national downstream and industrialization.
