Liam Neeson Denies Participating In Obi-Wan Kenobi Series
JAKARTA - Actor Liam Neeson answered rumors about him taking part in the Star Wars series on Disney+, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Yesterday, Thursday, June 10, Neeson guested on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his new film. When Kimmel asked about rumors about the Star Wars series, Neeson denied joining.
“I heard Ewan McGregor will be in a series. No, I don't think so. I was not contacted," he said.
Neeson's character in the Star Wars universe is Qui-Gon Jinn. The character died in the 1999 film Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (Episode 1).
On several occasions, Neeson expressed his desire to return to play Qui-Gon.
Meanwhile, McGregor is back playing his character from the Star Wars film trilogy. Apart from him, the series will also star Hayden Christensen, Joel Edgerton, Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Benny Safdie, Sung Kang, O'Shea Jackson Jr., and Maya Erskine.
The release of Obi-Wan Kenobi has not been revealed as the film is still in production.
