Mensos Gus Ipul: All the Costs of Treating Sayuti Melik are Covered

Jakarta - The Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf explained about the condition of the child of the writer of the Proclamation, Sayuti Melik. Heru Baskoro and his wife Treyzia Noviani have been handled by the social service and are already in a social service facility in Bekasi.

This was conveyed by Gus Ipul at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 15. According to Gus Ipul, the two will receive treatment, social assistance, and health checks until their condition is considered sufficient to return to their residence.

Gus Ipul also explained that the officers picked up the beneficiary after receiving information about his condition. The initial assessment was then carried out before he was taken to the Kemensos facility. At this place, the beneficiary received temporary shelter services.

Kemensos also prepared assistance from doctors and social workers while determining the next steps. According to Gus Ipul, the service is not permanent. The stay is given for a certain period of time and can be extended according to the results of the assessment and the development of the beneficiary's condition.

He ensured that the need for treatment would be covered. The Ministry of Social Affairs will coordinate with BPJS Kesehatan and other parties to meet the medical services needed.
