Jakarta - Minister of Tourism (Menpar) Widiyanti Putri Wardhana revealed the development of the national tourism sector. This was conveyed at the Bakom RI Office, Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 15.
Minister of Tourism Widiyanti conveyed a positive trend throughout 2026. According to him, until May 2026, the number of foreign tourist visits (wisman) reached 6.07 million visits, growing 7.68 percent compared to the same period last year. This growth is considered to show data that is resistant to the Indonesian tourism sector in the midst of global dynamics.
In addition, domestic tourism activities also increased throughout the year, growing 8.69 percent year-on-year in May 2026.
On this occasion, Widiyanti also conveyed five flagship programs related to travel safety, strengthening the network of tourist villages, to the Clean Tourism Movement.
