PT JUP Performs IPA Maintenance of City Forests, Water Supply in 7 Affected Villages Starting July 17

PAM Jaya has informed that the supply of clean water in seven villages in West Jakarta will be adjusted from Friday, July 17 to Wednesday, July 22.

The adjustment was carried out in line with the implementation of maintenance work on the City Forest Water Treatment Facility (IPA) managed by PT Jakarta Utilitas Propertindo (JUP).

During the treatment process, the water supply from the City Forest IPA to the PAM Jaya distribution network will be adjusted. This condition has the potential to cause a decrease in water pressure to the temporary interruption of water flow for about 55,272 customers.

The affected areas include West Cengkareng, East Cengkareng, Kapuk Muara, Kamal Muara, Kamal, Pegadungan, and Tegal Alur.

PAM Jaya Operations Director Syahrul Hasan said that maintenance of the installation was part of efforts to maintain the reliability of the drinking water supply system so that the quality of service to customers was maintained.

"Maintenance of the installation is an important part to ensure the quality and continuity of water services to customers. We understand that there may be inconveniences during the work. Therefore, we urge customers to prepare enough water reserves, while PAM Jaya has also prepared various anticipatory steps so that the public's water needs can still be met," said Syahrul in his statement, Wednesday, July 15.

During the work, PAM Jaya prepared the distribution of clean water through tankers for free for household customers and emergency needs at public service facilities such as hospitals, places of worship, and social foundations. Customers who need assistance can contact the PAM Jaya Call Center at 1500 223.

President Director of PT Jakarta Utilitas Propertindo (JUP) Etty Susilowati said maintenance work was carried out to ensure that water treatment installations remained optimally operational and were able to produce drinking water in accordance with applicable quality standards.

"We understand that there is a potential for temporary disruption to services during the work process. However, this activity has been planned and coordinated carefully with PAM Jaya and PT Jakpro Memiontec Air, taking into account technical aspects, safety, and public interest," said Etty.

PAM Jaya also appealed to customers in the affected areas to prepare water reserves before work began and use water wisely during the maintenance period. Water supply is expected to return to normal gradually starting Thursday, July 23, 2026.
