COVID-19 Update As Of June 11: Continues To Increase, New Cases 8,063

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 115,726 specimens were examined with the result that there were 8,063 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1,894,025 people and 106,315 active cases," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, June 11.

Today's recovered cases increased by 6,230 cases, bringing the total to 1,735,144 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 193 people and the total was 52,566 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 2,293 cases and a total of 442,847 cases. Followed by West Java which has 1,302 new cases with a total of 326,822 cases. Central Java has 1,026 new cases and a total of 221,190 cases. Then, East Java had 441 new cases and a total of 158,283 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,461 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,182 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 769 recovered cases, and Riau with an additional 447 recovered cases.

No province has reported no new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 17,735,758.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 16.20 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 106,350 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

To date, 19,669,968 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 11,525,638 the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40,349,049 people.
