Pramono Anung Says Students at SDN Srengseng Sawah 15 Tak Takut After False Bomb Terror
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed that students at SDN Srengseng Sawah 15 Morning, South Jakarta, did not feel afraid after their school received a bomb threat which was later found to be a false threat.
Pramono said, based on a report from the Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office who went down to check the conditions on the ground, students continued to carry out activities as usual. The concern instead came from the students' parents.
"I saw, yesterday I also received a report from the Head of the Education Office who also went down to the field. If the students are not there. Even the students feel normal," said Pramono in Ancol, North Jakarta, Tuesday, July 14.
Pramono said the DKI Provincial Government still gave permission to parents to send their children to school until Wednesday, along with the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS). This step was taken to provide a sense of security to parents after the threat emerged.
"Only his parents are worried. So, why is it that until today, until Wednesday, we allow it if his parents take him to school and so on, so that his parents themselves also feel comfortable," said Pramono.
The bomb threat that had made the situation at SDN Srengseng Sawah 15 in the morning a concern was confirmed not to be proven after an inspection by the parties concerned. No objects or conditions were found that led to the threat.
"Regarding the bomb threat at SD Negeri Srengseng Sawah 15 in the morning. After being investigated and checked on the ground, it turned out that there was indeed none," said Pramono.
Even though schools are back to normal, Pramono asked that vigilance be increased. Meanwhile, law enforcement officers will follow up on those suspected of making the threat.
"There are people who make threats, and for that, law enforcement officers will follow up. Now the school is running as usual, but I still ask for vigilance," said Pramono.
