8 Denpasar Female Prisoners Desperate To Drink Disinfectant, One Person Dies
DENPASAR - A total of 8 inmates at the Class IIA Women's Correctional Institution (Lapas) Kerobokan, Denpasar, Bali, drank disinfectant. One person died.
"They admitted to drinking disinfectant," said the Head of the Class IIA Women's Headquarters in Kerobokan Lili, when contacted on Friday, June 11.
The prisoners who drank the disinfectant were drug convicts. They initially complained of pain sorry. But the prison began to suspect because one of the prisoners vomited.
"First they admit they have stomach ulcers, after we give them medicine, after a while they vomit, we are suspicious," he explained.
His party immediately asked for information until they admitted to drinking disinfectant.
"We immediately took him to Sanglah Hospital. We are not kidding, saving lives is what we all prioritize," he explained.
The eight inmates drank the disinfectant on Tuesday, June 8, but they only confessed on Thursday, June 10. At that time the prison took them to Sanglah Hospital.
