Anantya Kirana Faces the Most Difficult Challenge in the Psychological Horror Film "Sofia"
JAKARTA - Actress Anantya Kirana is the main cast of the film in Adys Kayl's latest film titled "Sofia". Often playing the role of a child, he considers his role in this film to be very challenging and different.
"My character is quite, not enough but very challenging to be a child with social retardation and a wound in his heart. So yes, and physically I will be different here, so that's a challenge for me," said Anantya Kirana in an announcement of the role in Central Jakarta on Monday, July 13.
The 16-year-old actress has been interested in joining since she first read the script. With the psychological horror genre, she is enthusiastic about what happens to her character.
"At that time I remember I met Aunt Ade (producer) and Kak Ben (writer) and we talked about the script. From the beginning of hearing the story, I was really interested in this psychological horror and I had never played like this. From there, I agreed and excited," he said.
Even though he has played a similar character, Anantya Kirana prepared more extra for his role as Sofia who became the central character.
"Sofia's role here is very different. Apart from the physical, but also from her character. Because Sofia's story has social backwardness and also mental damage because of what happened in her house. That's a time bomb that explodes like that," explained Anantya Kirana.
"For sure here I feel I have to prepare more mentally. Because here I also tell the story that I'm very tired, my scenes are also very tired, not only in the physical but also mentally, especially... Here I almost all the scenes use effects (prosthetic) and also dentures," he said.
The film "Sofia" tells the story of a girl named Sofia (Anantya Kirana) who has a social condition and has an impact on her life and the environment in her home. In addition to Anantya Kirana, the Sofia film is also played by Wulan Guritno, Carissa Perusset, Nugie, Kiki Narendra and others.
The production of the film "Sofia" will soon begin this week.
