Jakarta Fair 2026 Generates Rp8.2 Trillion in Transactions, Rano Aims for 500 Years of Jakarta More Lively
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2026 was closed with a transaction achievement that penetrated Rp8.2 trillion. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also targets the implementation of the Jakarta Fair (PRJ) next year which coincides with the 500th anniversary of Jakarta to be held more lively.
Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno assessed that the achievements of the Jakarta Fair this year showed that the capital's economic activity continued to move in the midst of an economic situation that had not fully recovered.
"This year's Jakarta Fair has produced a number of visitors that exceeded last year. There was an increase of about 12 percent. Almost 8.2 million people visited. Likewise, the transaction value produced over Rp. 8 trillion. This indicates that the economic strength of Jakarta is still quite survive in this economic situation," said Rano at the closing event of the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2026, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Sunday, July 12.
According to Rano, the Jakarta Fair is not just an annual exhibition, but a space that brings together the government, business actors, MSMEs, creative industries, and the community in driving the Jakarta economy.
He said that the implementation of the 2026 Jakarta Fair involved more than 2,800 participants with around 1,800 booths showcasing various products from national and regional business actors.
Rano ensured that the DKI Provincial Government would continue to strengthen the investment climate while encouraging the competitiveness of MSMEs and the creative industry so that they could rise in class.
"Next year, Jakarta will enter its 500th year, 5 centuries. A milestone that is our common pride. I hope that next year's Jakarta Fair will be bigger, more festive, more innovative, and provide wider economic benefits," he said.
Furthermore, Rano revealed that the preparation of the Jakarta Fair edition of the five-century Jakarta will be discussed in detail. Moreover, the JIExpo Kemayoran area is said to have a new building which is expected to be completed in August.
"Hopefully next year, in the context of Jakarta 500 years or five centuries, the Jakarta Fair must be bigger than this year. We will definitely meet in person. Because it happens that I also heard that there is a new building here that will be completed around August," explained Rano.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Jakarta Fair Committee Kemayoran 2026 S. Hartati Murdaya said that this year's exhibition carries the theme "Jakarta Fair as a Multi-product Exhibition, Entertainment, Business Meeting to Encourage Trade and Investment from MSMEs to National and International Industries".
According to Hartati, this year's Jakarta Fair was attended by 2,800 participants, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with around 1,800 booths.
"During the 2026 Jakarta Fair Kemayoran, the total number of visitors reached 6.1 million visitors with a transaction value between sellers and buyers, not to PT Jakarta JIExpo, between people and people, it reached 8.2 trillion," explained Hartati.
Hartati assessed that the high value of the transaction was a signal that trade activity was still growing and had a positive impact on business actors who used the Jakarta Fair as a promotional event as well as expanding the market.
"Jakarta Fair has also managed to absorb tens of thousands of workers from the preparation period until the entire series of exhibitions takes place," he added.
