Extreme Heat, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum Close Faster
JAKARTA - Extreme temperatures in Paris are disrupting tourist visits. The Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum have reduced operating hours, while some tour schedules are affected.
Anadolu Agency, quoted on Sunday, July 12, reported that the schedule change was announced on the official websites of the two tourist attractions.
The Eiffel Tower was closed at 16.00 local time on Saturday. The management also set the same closing time on Sunday.
Visitors who have entrance tickets through the stairs after 12.00 and through the elevator after 12.30 are asked to check their respective e-mails.
Ticket holders affected will receive a refund automatically.
The Louvre Museum also closed its doors early at 16.00 since Friday. The policy is in effect until Monday, with the last entry at 14.00.
The Louvre's management asked visitors to adjust the pace of their visit and take protective measures against the heat.
