Minister PU Doddy Hanggodo's Reaction to the Leak of the Employee's Mutation After the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Travel Letter to the US is Considered Unworthy
"First I say this, this means that this Minister does not want to be corrected regarding performance," said the Director of the Indonesian Political House, Fernando Emas, when interviewed by reporters, Jakarta, Saturday, July 11.
According to Fernando, Minister Dody should consistently show his positive performance. Considering that, since the beginning of his term, Dody has continued to try to show his good performance by disciplining officials of the echelon who are not of integrity.
However, he said, the good performance of Minister Dody was actually slackening as the performance of the PU Ministry progressed. In fact, according to him, the current reaction shows the true face of Minister Dody.
Fernando considers Minister Dody to have abused his authority as a 'helper' to the Head of State by bringing a family entourage on a working visit abroad.
Not only that, Dody appointed Aisyah Zakkiyah, who is called his niece, in two strategic positions at once, namely as a commissioner of PT PP (Persero) Tbk and Expert Staff of the Minister of PU.
"And this proves how he is also not clean. Although what we see now has not been proven to be related to misuse of the budget, but there has been abuse of authority," he said.
Fernando also admitted that he was surprised by Minister Dody's reactive attitude regarding the leak of data on his wife and children's participation in overseas working visits. Moreover, the data on a minister's working visit is not something that must be kept secret from the public.
"It should have been leaked at that time, it means that there is an effort to keep him as he was when he first served as Minister, that is, really committed," he said.
"It should be natural, it should be natural for anyone who visits to be uploaded to the public because this should be accessible to anyone. Because we need information, transparent," he added.
For this reason, Fernando assessed that if the SK mutation and the appointment of employees because the data leaked to the public was true, then it was clear that Minister Dody's attitude was not appropriate.
According to him, criticism from the public against the Ministry of PU, especially Minister Dody, should be a momentum to evaluate and improve. Minister Dody should not be hesitant in responding to input from the community.
"This is what should be a lesson for all institutions, not just the ministry. How they try to open information, transparency related to what is indeed worth opening, especially this is related to foreign visits," he said.
Previously, there was an issue that the Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo had transferred several senior employees outside Java. This mutation is said to be the aftermath of the leak of the Minister Dody's official travel letter to the United States (US) which brought his wife and child, coinciding with the 2026 World Cup Final.
From the uploads of several accounts on X, it was stated that there were at least eight senior employees in the environment of the Bureau of Budget Planning and Foreign Cooperation and also Public Relations who were transferred. They are Tegar Rizkiadi who was transferred to North Maluku and Fransiska Dini who was transferred to West Papua.
Then, there are the names of Indri Damayanti (to NTT), Lisniari Munthe (Maluku), Wibisono Sularso (Kaltara), Daswandi Indra (West Papua), and Andika Jaya Arsyadin (Surabaya). Reportedly, some of these employees have been counted as level III officials who have not only been transferred but also non-job kan.
There is also Tegar Rizkiadi who is the Head of the International Cooperation Administration Team, who has worked for 15 years. Next, Indri Damayanti who serves as an Associate of Government PR Officer, has also worked for 15 years.
Then, Listya Adi A., Public Relations Officer, who has worked for almost 17 years. Next, Indra Daswandi is an Expert Public Relations and Social Media Strategist, who has worked for 11 years.
