Allegedly Persecuted Women, Oknum Perwira Polres Lumajang Reported to Propam Polri Headquarters
JAKARTA - The alleged violation of the code of ethics involving an officer of the Tipikor unit with the initials IL who served at the Lumajang Police was a matter of concern after it was officially reported to the Professional and Security Division (Propam) of the National Police Headquarters. The report was submitted through the victim's lawyer from the Legal Aid Institution (LBH) PC GP Ansor Lumajang. Based on the complaint document received by the media, the victim with the initials K.N. is a 24-year-old woman. The victim's identity was deliberately concealed to protect privacy in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Journalists. In the complaint, the reported person is said to be a member of the National Police who is currently serving as a Tipikor Kanit at the Lumajang Police. The victim's lawyer said that the personal relationship between the victim and the reported person began to develop since the beginning of 2022. In the report, the reported person is suspected of promising to marry the victim without revealing that he already had a legal wife.
According to the complaint, the relationship lasted for quite some time until it eventually raised various problems which are now reported to the Propam Division of the National Police Headquarters. In the complaint report, the victim's lawyer also revealed the alleged pressure experienced by the victim during the relationship with the reported. The victim is said to have several times experienced pregnancy. In the complaint document, the reported allegedly asked the victim to abort the pregnancy by giving certain drugs. As a result, the victim is said to have suffered health complications until he had to undergo a medical procedure in the form of a curettage at a clinic. Lumajang Police Chief AKBP Pol. Alex Sandi Siregar when contacted by the editor via his cellphone has not given any information regarding the alleged case of violation of his member's ethics.
