Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan was rushed to the hospital.
BANDUNG - The Mayor of Bandung Muhammad Farhan was rushed to the hospital after complaining of an unhealthy condition while at the Bandung City Hall.
Head of the Bandung City Communication and Information Service, Henryco Arie Sapiie, said that Farhan's condition is still being handled by a team of doctors so that his party has not been able to convey details about the disease he suffered.
"Currently he is still being handled by the medical team. We are waiting for the ongoing medical process and will provide more information after there is progress," said Henryco as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 10.
According to Henryco, Farhan had received a guest in his work room before complaining about his unhealthy body condition. As a result, Farhan was unable to attend the plenary meeting and was then taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
"He originally wanted to attend the second plenary meeting, but it turned out that he was sick so he had to be rushed to the hospital," he said.
He added that until now the medical team was still conducting examinations so it could not be determined whether Farhan would undergo hospitalization or be allowed to rest at home.
Henryco ensured that this condition did not interfere with the course of government and public services. All services to the public are still running normally according to the applicable mechanism.
His party also invited the public to pray for Farhan's recovery so that he can recover soon and be able to return to his duties as mayor.
"The Bandung City Government will convey further information to the public after receiving official information from the medical team," he said.
