JAKARTA - The Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah ensures that handling cases in the field of special criminal cases (pidsus) at the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) is still ongoing even though he is hit by issues related to corruption cases handled by the National Police.
"We ensure that all activities and tasks that have been ordered to us and our colleagues in the Round Building (Jampidsus, ed.) who are conducting investigations, investigations, prosecutions, and field tasks in executing evidence, this will continue. In fact, I monitor it according to SOP, it runs quickly," he said as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 10.
Febrie said his party also continued to maintain the quality of handling cases, especially corruption cases, which must be able to be tested for truth in both material and formal terms.
Currently, he continued, investigators in the pidsus are focusing on completing the handling of cases involving the interests of the nation and the aspirations of the people as well as supporting national priority programs.
Some of the cases handled include those related to the rescue of natural resources, cash transfer pricing, and alleged corruption in the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
According to him, this effort is part of the commitment of the Prosecutor's Office in realizing a clean, integrated government, and providing a deterrent effect for perpetrators of corruption.
"For this reason, the support and trust of the public are important energy for us at the Round Building so that the progress of law enforcement can run effectively, independently, and sustainably," he said.
It is known that investigators from the Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortastipidkor) of the National Police together with the Metro Jaya Police searched a number of locations, including Kafe de'Clan Signature and Koin Money Changer in South Jakarta.
Head of the Corruption and Crime Investigation Unit of the National Police, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, said the search was part of the investigation into alleged corruption in the management of coal supplies that allegedly triggered the power outage carried out by his party.
In addition to this case, investigators are also handling allegations of corruption at PT Asabri and PT Jiwasraya for the period 2020-2025 as well as allegations of money laundering related to the settlement of PT CBS's debt to PT KNI which is under the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya.
