Visiting the House of Mourning, Pramono remembers Rachmat Gobel as a special person
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo took the time to pay his respects to NasDem Faction DPR Member Rachmat Gobelyang who died on Friday morning.
"This morning before starting the event, I deliberately went to pay my respects to Mr. Rachmat Gobel. I have a very personal relationship. Maybe I am one of the two weeks who always meet, including him also came to the City Hall several times," said Pramono as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 10.
The man, who is familiarly called Pramitu, remembers Rachmat Gobel as a very good person and able to become a glue for various groups in the political world.
Not only that, Pramono also assessed Rachmat Gobel as a friendly figure and has a high concern for others.
According to him, the departure of Rachmat Gobel is a great loss, not only for him personally, but also for many people.
"He is very friendly, cares about others, a very good person. Of course, we all lose people who have been the glue for many groups in the political world," said Pramono.
In addition, he also touched on Rachmat Gobel's important role in strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Japan.
Pramono also recalled the close cooperation that had been established when he was still serving as the Cabinet Secretary.
"Mr. Rachmat Gobel has special privileges, especially his relationship with Japan. So, when I became the Secretary of the Cabinet, he was one of those who later built a good relationship with the community in Japan, and it was mutually beneficial and profitable," said Pramono.
