10 Ballistic Missiles Fired by Iran's IRGC at US Base in Jordan
JAKARTA - Ten ballistic missiles were fired at a US base in Jordan on Thursday, according to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The IRGC said its target was the Azraq military base in northern Jordan, also known as Muwaffaq Salti Air Base.
The US military has built a significant presence at the site during the conflict with Iran.
"If the US military repeats its aggression, other American bases in the region will not escape a severe attack," the IRGC said, quoted by CNN, Thursday, July 9.
There were no reports of damage or casualties.
All the missiles were "intercepted and dealt with," Jordanian government spokesman Mohammad Al-Momani said in a post on the X platform.
