Maliq & D'Essentials touched by his work in the musical, Lecut spirit to work on a new album
JAKARTA - The performance titled Musical Sunset Shade Pelita officially began on July 3 yesterday at Graha Bhakti Budaya Taman Ismail Marzuki Jakarta. This work managed to touch the hearts of many people, including the members of Maliq & D'Essentials (MAD).
The musical worked by Nuya Susantono reaped high enthusiasm. Tickets sold out in no time, so the show was made two weekends until July 12.
The first performance brought a special moment, when all the personnel were behind the scenes. After the performance, Angga et al also celebrated mixed feelings with the cast and crew who supported this event.
With swollen eyes, several personnel expressed their appreciation for all those involved in the Musical Senja Teduh Pelita.
"It seems like it's been a long time since I cried, we were excited to watch from behind. This is the first time we've watched Maliq & D'Essentials, usually we sing," said Angga Puradiredja, starting his speech.
"24 years we've been here and today we got a fortune that we never expected. This is a masterpiece for Maliq, because at the age of 24, we get a very big energy to work better again. It's a pleasure to be able to bring us to a point that is even further. "
In his speech, the band from Jakarta also revealed that they were working on the eighth album. With this new interpretation, their spirit was even more extinguished.
"This is a new spirit for us, we don't want to make sloppy works. So we want to go back to the studio again, explore as best we can," added Widi Puradiredja, drummer and author of dozens of Maliq & D'Essentials songs.
The moment of sadness turned into optimism and enthusiasm. Not to forget, they gave good prayers for the smooth running of this musical which involved Jakarta Movin and Indonesia Kaya.
"Kaya performing, the first song succeeded insyaallah behind it is getting more successful. So we give encouragement to all who play this musical, hopefully Indonesia is happy with the existence of the Musical Senja Teduh Pelita," concluded Angga.
The musical Senja Teduh Pelita involves 32 people, 11 of whom are children, as well as 200 people who are involved in the production of the musical. 200 people are involved in the production of the musical.
