BPIH Haji 2027 Naik Jadi Rp107,3 Juta, Pemerintah Pastikan Kenaikan Tak Dibebankan ke Jemaah

JAKARTA - The government proposes the cost of organizing the 1448 H/2027 Hajj (BPIH) to Rp. 107.3 million per pilgrim or an increase of around Rp. 19 million compared to the 2026 Hajj. However, the government ensures that the increase will not be immediately imposed on prospective pilgrims.

The proposal was conveyed by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah (Menhaj) Mochamad Irfan Yusuf when presenting an evaluation of the implementation of the 1447 H/2026 Hajj pilgrimage in a working meeting with Commission VIII of the DPR, Tuesday, July 7.

According to Irfan, the increase in BPIH is influenced by a number of external factors, ranging from the exchange rate of the United States dollar, the increase in jet fuel prices, to the increase in service standards set by the Government of Saudi Arabia.

"We have submitted a BPIH which, with great difficulty, has been forced to increase due to dollar factors, jet fuel factors, and the Saudi government has improved its services. What does it mean, automatically it will also increase the price," said Irfan.

Although BPIH increased to Rp107.3 million per pilgrim, the government proposed that the cost paid by pilgrims remain the same as in the previous year through the optimization of the value of benefits managed by the Hajj Finance Management Agency (BPKH).

The government has proposed a financing scheme with a composition of 60 percent from the value of the BPKH benefits and 40 percent from the Hajj Travel Fee (Bipih) paid by the pilgrims.

"If possible, the scheme of distribution between what must be paid by the pilgrims and what must be paid by the value of the BPKH benefit can be like 2022," said Irfan.

He explained that with this composition, the government hopes that there will be no increase in the costs that must be paid by prospective pilgrims.

"Where 60 percent is financed by the value of benefits, 40 percent is financed by Bipih which is paid by the pilgrims. So, there is no increase from last year, which was paid by the pilgrims," he said.

The proposed amount of BPIH and the financing scheme will be discussed with Commission VIII of the DPR through the working committee (Panja) before being determined.

"We hope that our proposal can be agreed upon so that the congregation pays the same as last year, or even starts to decrease a little," said Irfan.
