President Prabowo Awarded Adipura Star to the Prime Minister of India

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto awarded the highest state honor, the Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipurna, to Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi during a state visit at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 7.

The award was given as a form of recognition for PM Modi's leadership, which is considered to have played a major role in strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and India to reach the level of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

President Prabowo said that the same award had been given by the Indonesian government to India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. According to him, this is a symbol of the close historical relationship that has been established between Indonesia and India for a long time.
