There is a Cyberpunk Appearance, Hyundai Ioniq V Comes with 8 Colors and a Range of 620 Km
JAKARTA - Hyundai officially showed a range of body color options for its latest electric fastback sedan, the Ioniq V or also known as Ioniq Venus. This car is a marker of Hyundai's design direction change, from the retro-pixel style identity that has been applied globally to a cyberpunk approach developed specifically by Hyundai's design team in China.
The visual launch was carried out after the model's premiere appearance at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. Dimensionally, the Hyundai Ioniq V has a length of 4,900 mm, a width of 1,890 mm, a height of 1,470 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.
The sedan is built on the E-GMP modular platform and carries a low fastback silhouette with frameless doors and a sharp headlight design. Hyundai is also preparing a pure electric drive configuration and a range extender version to suit the needs of consumers in the Chinese market.
Reported by Carnewschina, Tuesday, July 7, Hyundai offers eight exterior color options consisting of Cyber Gold, Dimensional Purple, Gamma Green, Magnetic Grey, Photon White in glossy and matte finishing options, Streamer Silver, and Night Blade Black.
All of these color options are designed to further emphasize the car's body character, which is firm and geometrically grooved. Previously, the Ioniq V was caught on camera while undergoing testing on the highway.
This car carries an aerodynamic design with V-shaped aero rims and dimensional star-track style taillights. The appearance gives a different identity compared to Hyundai's global electric vehicle models which tend to be more conservative.
Behind its appearance, the Ioniq V utilizes the E-GMP platform with an 800-volt electrical architecture that supports fast charging while optimizing the performance of an efficient electric motor. The energy source comes from the latest lithium battery supplied by CATL.
Entering the cabin, Hyundai presents an interior design that is tailored to the preferences of local consumers. The layout carries the Nebula Circular concept combined with an ultra-thin 4K screen measuring 27 inches and a Cyber-Eye Head Up Display. All infotainment systems are run using Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship class cockpit chips to support the local software ecosystem.
The driving assistance capability is also strengthened through the Momenta ADAS system. Based on regulatory documents, the Hyundai Ioniq V is equipped with a 66.8 kWh battery that is claimed to be able to travel up to 620 km based on the CLTC test standard.
This move is part of Beijing Hyundai's strategy to improve competitiveness amid increasingly tight competition in the electric vehicle market in China. Meanwhile, retail registration data in May 2026 showed that Beijing Hyundai's sales were still dominated by internal combustion engine models.
