Geely Shows Off Sporty Electric Sedan, Has a Range of up to 725 Km
JAKARTA - Geely through the Galaxy brand officially introduced the Galaxy TT, a new model that targets younger consumers in the local Chinese market and is positioned as an electric sports sedan.
CNevpost, Tuesday, July 7, made its global debut at an event in Shanghai, this sedan is expected to be officially sold in August.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy TT is built on Geely's latest generation technology. The roof is equipped with LiDAR, offering the advanced G-ASD (Geely Afari Smart Driving) H7 or H5 driver assistance system as an additional option.
The new vehicle is equipped with an active electric rear spoiler that supports three-stage settings and speed-dependent tuning. With a maximum angle of 22.5 degrees, this spoiler can generate a downforce of 508 newtons.
The Galaxy TT has a length of 4,999 millimeters, a width of 1,919 mm, and a height of 1,479 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, making it a medium to large-sized sedan.
Using a 800-volt high-voltage platform, the car is available in two versions, ranging from rear-wheel drive (RWD) with one motor and all-wheel drive (AWD) with two motors. The RWD version produces a maximum power of 245 kilowatts (329 hp), while the AWD version has a combined output of 425 kW.
The new model comes standard with a CATL battery that offers three capacity options, ranging from 52.4 kWh, 63.8 kWh, and 75.2 kWh. Mileage varies from 540 to 725 km.
The Galaxy TT is equipped with the second generation Flyme Auto cockpit system, which consists of an LCD instrument cluster, a large central control screen, and an AR-HUD (augmented reality head-up display), which supports interactive operation of three screens.
The launch of the Galaxy TT coincides with the return of the Galaxy brand to the growth track. The brand sold 108,206 vehicles in June, jumping 19.93 percent compared to the previous year and up 32.40 percent compared to the previous month.
