53 Percent Of DKI Jakarta's Population Received Social Assistance Due To COVID-19
JAKARTA - The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta together with the central government improved data on recipients of social assistance in the second phase. There are additional social assistance recipients in DKI to 2.15 million heads of families (KK).
Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Riza Patria, explained the details of the total number of recipients of the second phase of social assistance. Initially, the recipients of the first phase of social assistance that had been distributed were 1.19 million. Then, the registered recipients were converted back into 931,831 households.
The improvement of the first stage of social assistance data is due to the fact that there are recipients who are in the well-off group. In fact, social assistance is intended for the poor and vulnerable to poverty due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Then, there were additional recipients of 277,997 households.
"This additional data comes from records compiled by SKPD. They are ojol, fishermen, affected UMKM, opang, taxi driver, bajaj, public transportation driver, bus driver, art worker, KJMU holder, and data from Central Java," said Riza when contacted. , Wednesday, April 13.
Then, there are additional recipient data that comes from independent submissions from residents who feel they need help. There were 943,358 families who submitted to their respective RT and RW to be validated and entered into the recipient.
Riza continued, the number of recipients of phase two social assistance covers 53 percent of the total population in Jakarta. He said, currently there are 3.6 million heads of families, while the recipients of phase two social assistance reach 2.15 heads of families.
Of the total recipients, the distribution of social assistance to 853,196 families will be distributed by the DKI Provincial Government. Meanwhile, 1.3 million households were channeled by the central government through the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"Of the 2,153,196 families, the central and local governments are divided. We are grateful for the assistance from the central government for the citizens of DKI," said Riza.
For information, the DKI Provincial Government has distributed the first phase of social assistance to as many as 1.19 million households. One social assistance package that has been distributed worth Rp.149 thousand Bansos is distributed from 9 to 24 April 2020.
Then a number of DKI residents also received social assistance from the central government worth Rp. 300 thousand. The basic needs include rice, cooking oil, sardines, corned beef, chili sauce, soy sauce, instant noodles, UHT milk, tea and bath soap.
The two data on social assistance recipients between the central government and DKI were at issue. Because, it turns out that the recipients of social assistance from the DKI Provincial Government and the Central Government are the same.
In fact, there was a division of tasks in the initial plan for providing social assistance. The DKI Provincial Government will cover assistance to 1.1 million people, and the central government will distribute aid to 2.6 million people.
Then, there is the conversion of recipient data due to the conversion of recipients from per person to per head of family. That way, the number of social assistance recipients at the initial stage was changed from 3.7 million to 1.2 million households.
The problem is, the data on the first social assistance recipients did not reach all people who were poor and vulnerable to poverty due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Therefore, data on stage two social assistance recipients were improved and increased to 2.15 million households. This second phase of social assistance contains 10 kilograms of rice, 1.8 liters of cooking oil, protein foods, instant noodles, and others. A total of one aid package is worth IDR 275 thousand.
