Telkom student Nadira Az-Zahra found after missing a week
BANDUNG - The Bandung City Police (Polrestabes) have confirmed that the Telkom University student, Nadira Az-Zahra, who was reported missing a week ago has been found safe and returned to her family.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bandung Police, AKBP Anton, said Nadira was found on Monday (6/7) morning and is currently under the supervision of her family.
"Currently Nadira is under the supervision of the family," said Anton as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 6.
Anton said that Nadira is currently undergoing counseling with her family so that she cannot be questioned about the reason for leaving her home.
"For the time being, Ananda Nadira is currently in the mentoring stage from his own family to ensure that the person concerned is in good condition," he said.
He explained that the victim was found still in the Bandung City area based on information from someone who helped the search process. However, the police did not reveal the identity of the informant.
"What is certain is that it was still found in Bandung City," he said.
Regarding the reason Nadira left home, he said investigators had not been able to draw conclusions because the person concerned had not allowed them to be questioned.
"For reasons, for the time being we have not received it definitively because Ananda Nadira is still in a condition where he cannot be questioned. Later we may ask for further information regarding why the person concerned left the residence," he said.
The police also stated that until now they have not found any indication of a criminal act, including the alleged kidnapping.
However, he said, the investigation would still be carried out after the victim's condition allowed him to provide information.
"But we will still ensure that after Nadira can be questioned, we will conduct further in-depth investigations to see if there are indications of criminal acts in the incident," said Anton.
